Karen’s work is published internationally and throughout Turtle Island, colonially known as Canada. She lives and writes in the lands of the Haldimand Treaty of 1784, the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Chonnonton and Haudenosaunee peoples.She encourages readers to learn and discover more about the lands where they work, live, and play on using the Native-Land tool. If you would like to learn more about the history of Indigenous peoples, this online course by the University of Alberta as a good starting point for the learning journey.
